Embrace Wellness this year: Mastering the 6 Pillars of Lifestyle Medicine

New Year, new me… I have heard this phrase recently and have even said it myself once or twice. Every New Year brings a new opportunity to improve one’s health, and 2023 is no different. As an institute for health and wellness, our goal at the Logan Institute is to walk with you through your wellness journey as you move toward better overall health. We do this by focusing on the 6 pillars of Lifestyle Medicine: a whole-food, plant-predominant eating pattern, physical activity (or movement), restorative sleep, stress management, avoidance of risky substances (and detoxification of toxins) and positive social connections (relationships). Additionally we include mental wellbeing as we recognize one’s mental health can affect the ability to master any and all of these pillars.


So, let's start 2023 with an emphasis on restoring health and wellness through lifestyle medicine with the foundation of these pillars. We are excited to begin this New Year with you and look forward to celebrating “the new, improved and healthier you”.
