What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is a 5,000-year-old holistic system of health that originated in India. Rooted in the principles of nature, balance, and prevention, Ayurveda teaches us how to stay well by understanding our unique mind-body constitution, or dosha, and making daily choices that keep us in alignment with it.
At its core, Ayurveda is lifestyle medicine. It considers the whole person: diet, sleep, emotions, habits, digestion, and environment. By adjusting these areas with intention, we can prevent imbalances and restore health when dis-ease appears.
Meet Regan, Our Lifestyle & Ayurvedic Coach
At The Logan Institute in Fishers, Indiana, we’re proud to have Regan Mosher-Rudolf leading our Lifestyle & Ayurveda Coaching services. Regan began her career as a mental health counselor and later expanded her expertise through yoga and mind-body work. She now holds advanced training in Ayurveda, having studied in both the U.S. and India.
Regan takes a deeply individualized approach to coaching, helping patients connect the dots between their daily choices and long-term health goals.
What to Expect from Ayurvedic Lifestyle Coaching
Your journey starts with an in-depth intake session where Regan explores your health history, lifestyle, sleep, digestion, emotions, even childhood patterns, to understand your Prakriti (natural constitution).
Using Ayurvedic wisdom, she helps you:
Identify your unique dosha profile (Vata, Pitta, Kapha)
Recognize imbalances and their root causes
Build daily and seasonal routines that support long-term balance
Align nutrition, sleep, movement, and emotional health with your constitution
Understand how to digest not just food, but thoughts, emotions, and experiences
This coaching process is not one-size-fits-all. Two people with the same goals may need very different paths to healing, because their body types and underlying patterns differ.
Patients of The Logan Institute can sign up for a FREE Dosha Discovery appointment with Regan to Identify their unique dosha profile!
How Ayurveda Connects to Everyday Life
Ayurveda is practical. Regan integrates Ayurvedic principles into her coaching by teaching tools you can start using immediately:

🥗 Food as Medicine
Regan helps clients understand the six Ayurvedic tastes, sweet, sour, salty, bitter, pungent, and astringent, and how balancing them in each meal can improve digestion, satisfaction, and vitality.
