Nebulizer Protocol
Treating Active Viral Infections with a Nebulizer
The best medicine is prevention but if we find ourselves feeling symptoms of an infection such as body aches, elevated temperature, fatigue, sore throat, cough, runny nose, sinus pain etc. then the most effective way to reduce the duration and severity of the illness is to consider the following steps. These are my “go to” recommendations that I ALWAYS maintain in my medicine cabinet. If treated early and aggressively then the outcome will be less down time and quicker recovery from the illness.
Nebulizer Treatment Protocol
This is the most important first step because research has shown that nebulizing early in a respiratory illness will reduce viral replication, bacterial overgrowth, and shorten the duration of the illness.
What's in the kit:
Nebulizer with mask
Normal Saline
3% food grade Hydrogen Peroxide (H₂O₂)
Lugol’s Iodine
Mixing Bottle (amber colored bottle with child-proof cap)
1 ml syringe
5 ml syringe
All contents will be mixed and stored in the amber colored bottle with a child-proof cap. We recommend you label (provided in kit) this bottle as “H2O2 mixture” first.
Mixing Instructions:
Pour 30 ml of normal saline into the amber colored mixing bottle, fill to the 30 ml line on the side of the bottle.
Using the 1 ml syringe, draw 1 ml of 3% food-grade Hydrogen Peroxide and add it to the amber bottle.
Add 3 drops of Lugol’s Iodine to the amber bottle.
Secure the cap on the amber mixing bottle and gently swirl to mix the contents thoroughly.
This will give you enough of the H₂O₂ solution for 5 treatments.
Administration Instructions:
Set Up the Nebulizer:
Plug in the nebulizer compressor.
Connect the tubing from the nebulizer mask to the compressor. (Note: Extra tubing, filters, and mouthpieces in the box are for future use—store these safely.)
Prepare the Nebulizer Solution:
Remove the solution well from the nebulizer mask and unlock the lid by turning it ¼ turn counterclockwise.
Using the 5 ml syringe, draw 5 ml of the prepared H₂O₂ solution from the amber bottle.
Dispense the contents of the syringe into the solution well of the nebulizer.
Assemble the Nebulizer:
Replace the cap onto the solution well and secure it firmly.
Attach the tubing coming from the nebulizer to the bottom of the solution well.
Administer the Treatment:
Place the mask over your nose and mouth, adjusting the strap to ensure a snug fit.
Turn on the nebulizer.
Breathe deeply through your nose and mouth to inhale the aerosolized H₂O₂ solution.
Treatment should take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
Clean the Nebulizer After Use:
Once the treatment is complete, and all the solution has been aerosolized, turn off the nebulizer.
Rinse the solution well with water and allow it to air dry.
Spray or wipe the mask with undiluted Hydrogen Peroxide and let it air dry before storing.
Buy The Nebulizer Protocol Kit:
We recommend purchasing additional Normal Saline one bottle is good for 40 treatments.
